Welcome to my Dulang.
Dulang is a Tagalog word. It is a low table, usually for dining.
I had a dulang made about two years ago, not for dining purposes though, but for art activities. That summer, Buhawi, my second, and Diyosa, my third, had decided to give art classes to young kids. As our home didn't have space for their endeavor, I converted one of its corners into sort of a classroom with no desks. And so, the idea of a dulang came to fore upon the suggestion of their grandpa who, because of him and his big mouth, constructed it himself.
The art classes are over, but the charm of the dulang stayed with us. It has become our spot for aratubang, Masbateno word for face-to-face, Tagalog being harap-harap, me and my kids' favorite past time.
Come to my dulang and share with me life and love.
